Loma Society of Waterloo

                    

LOMA is an international association of insurance and financial services companies. Founded in 1924, LOMA is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and serves some 1,000 member companies around the world. LOMA helps insurers and the financial services industry improve management and operations through quality education, employee development, research, information sharing, and related products and services.

LOMA also offers educational courses and insurance designations. The most extensive of these is the FLMI/FFSI program. Graduates of the FLMI/FFSI program have achieved at least 70% on 10 separate exams, covering all areas of the insurance industry.

The LOMA Society of Waterloo is a LOMA chartered organization. All members of the Society have achieved the FLMI/FFSI designation.

LOMA is now offering an Insurance Immersion Program. for for managers and credentialed professionals (e.g., IT, HR, and audit staff) who are relatively new to the life insurance industry and are looking for a quick way to get “immersed.” They are currently designing a Canadian offering of this program for Canadian members.  It will be offered November 11 to 13th at Foresters Corporate Offices in Toronto.

With nearly 1,000 enrollments since its launch earlier this year, LOMA's Need 2 Know curriculum is quickly becoming a key training tool to “Ignite Potential” in our member companies’ employees. These highly engaging, media-rich online courses help employees become more productive by teaching the essentials of the insurance  business and how companies operate.
