Introduction

	To address the need of some battery powered systems to maintain a 
constant voltage even as the battery is discharging, Solar Converters Inc. 
has developed a simple dc-dc converter that will maintain a constant voltage
on its output irrespective of the battery voltage within its usable range.

	For optimum flexibility, this unit is mounted in a small weather 
proof enclosure with flying leads that can be attached to a pole or mounted 
on any surface.  The output voltage of 16 or 32V is controlled by the
simple act of shorting 2 of its flying leads together.

User Controls
	
The choice of output voltage (16/32 V) is user selectable by the flying 
"blue" leads:
	
open circuit = 16 V
shorted      = 32 V

Application Comments

	1) It is recommended that the unit be fused in operation.

	2) It is recommended that the unit be placed in a system that 
           has an LVD capability. 

Note:   All Solar Converter Inc. controllers have intergral LVD and
	fusing.
