All over but the golfing
| Congratulations to every one who took part in getting us through the season, through the playoffs, and through the championship game. Shakespeare Arms 2 was a formidable opponent. So were we. You made me feel like Cito Gaston on Monday. Six of us are going to the banquet on Saturday. We'll pick up the trophies for anyone who couldn't attend and bring them to the golf game in June. I hope we keep the same team members next season. We should keep aiming at a Group 1 victory. Remember that this year's Group 1winner, Shakespeare Arms 1, only lost 3 games in season play this year. One of them was to us. Steve got seven tons on Monday and ended with 110. We'll see who can match that score at the golf game on June 23. Julian and Dex each got three tons on Monday, finishing in 2nd and 3rd places with 65 and 62. Steve led in singles with 25 - 1 (0.960) followed by Ron with 21 - 5 (0.808) and Julian with 20 - 6 (0.769). We had lots of 100+ opens, but only one finish. Dex had a 109 out on Monday. The three with the most success in 701 doubles were Wigger, Steve and Jim. In 501 doubles it was Steve, Dexter and Fred. The three highest opens were by Steve, Ron and Gord. Julian and Steve each had a 180. All in all, a very good year. We have $308.25 in the Green Fees Fund which I will pass over to Jim and trust him to spend it wisely. |
