We set out on our journey as soon as I could start my summer holidays. We spent our first night in Cornwall, Ontario.

Thursday, July 1 (Canada Day)
We left Cornwall around 11 am and headed for Montreal and then Sherbrooke, Quebec before crossing the border into Maine. By 11 pm that night we were checking into a Keddy's hotel in St. John, New Brunswick.

Friday, July 2
It was a foggy Maritime morning, so we didn't see much of St. John before we continued on our way.

Before we left, we made a reservation on the Digby-St. John ferry for Sunday evening.

After taking the scenic route around the top of the Bay of Fundy to Truro, we arrived in Dartmouth on Friday afternoon.

There were lots of trees and logging trucks.
